PEP: A person who has been entrusted with prominent public functions.
e.g Member of Parliament, Judge or Head of State-Owned Bank.
HIO: An individual who holds or has held within the last 5 years the specific office or position of head of an international organization (that is established by the governments of states, or an institution established by an international organization).
e.g United Nations or World Health Organization.
Related person to PEP/HIO: Family member includes Mother, father, biological or adoptive child(ren), spouse/partner, parent of spouse/partner, sibling.
Close associate includes anyone connected personally or professionally
e.g business partner or someone who has a romantic relationship with the PEP/HIO.
